Freed Dapchi Girls Receiving Treatment At General Hospital

 
The secretary of the Parents' Forum of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi,Yobe state, Mr Katchalla has confirmed to Saharareporters that the just released schoolgirls are undergoing medical checkup at the general hospital in the town.
While confirming the release of the girls, Mr Katchalla said the parents are happy  seeing their children again.


The girls who were abducted on Feburary 19 by the Boko Haram insurgent group were released exactly a week after President Buhari’s visit to the school.
The President had during the visit assured the parents of the abducted schoolgirls that the Federal Government will not rest on its oars until their wards are freed from the clutches of Boko Haram.
While also confirming the release of the schoolgirls, Abdullahi Kawi,  father of one of the abducted students, said his friend called to confirm that one of the girls was dropped off at Gumsa yesterday night, while the others who were on their way to Dapchi arrived this morning.

Also speaking,  Vice Chairman, Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Yobe State Chapter, Mustapha Mohammed Dapchi, whose house is located around the school said he saw the girls being dropped off at the town’s motor park.
He added that the people who brought the girls told them to  "go back to their respective houses”.

Another source who pleaded anonymity said security operatives have barricaded the major road leading to Dapchi, leaving motorists and passengers stranded.
